Mud

On Saturday afternoon the girls and I decided to take a walk around the pond. Everything was going great until about 30 seconds after I took this picture....
Preston ended up falling knee deep into this mud and had to crawl herself out of the quicksand mud. (it doesn't look like much but this mud was evil!)

Meanwhile, Ava was stuck in a sticker bush and while trying to get away she fell off the log and into the mud! When she pulled her foot out of the mud her boot did not come with her. This is the mud that ate Ava's boot. Do you see the boot? because we sure didn't!

I walked across a log to try and find the boot but began to fall so I grabbed the closest thing to me which just so happened to be something very thorny :(
While I was searching for the boot, Ava peed her pants! Here is Preston showing off how muddy she is and Ava being proud of peeing in her pants!
At this point we decided to forget about the boot and go inside to shower. Since Ava only had one boot on I had to carry her. As soon as she jumped onto my back she kindly reminded me that she just peed all over herself. At this point I didn't even care because I was already muddy and bloody. By the time we got to the house none of us had a single piece of clean clothing on us!

Sunday was sooo beautiful! We spent most of the day outside playing in the gypsy wagon.

It's beginning to look....

a lot like CHRISTMAS!! (yet it feels like springtime outside right now!) All the stores have their Christmas decorations in the window :) Even the hot dog stand has its decorations up!

Visitor #2!!

This past weekend my friend Brittany came to visit me! It was a quick but fun visit. She arrived Saturday night and left Monday.

As soon as she arrived we went out to dinner at Grey Dog Cafe so that we could try the spiced wine I had read about in a magazine! This picture makes it look like puke but it tasted sooo good!!

On Sunday we did some major shopping!! Then we ventured out to the Brooklyn Bridge! The bridge is about a mile long. The beginning of our hike...
We went at the perfect time because the sun was setting as we were walking across the bridge.

We were going to eat at the famous pizza place in Brooklyn (Grimaldi's Pizzeria) but there was a super long line outside the restaurant so we gave up on that idea. How good can that pizza be?!

We then headed to Rockefeller to see the ice skating and the big tree!

Behind that sign is the HUGE tree!!
I'm going to try to go to the lighting of the tree on December 2!

We then headed to Magnolia Bakery to get some yummy dessert and ate it outside of Radio City.

Then we walked over to Time Square and people watched as we sat on the red steps in the middle of Time Square!

My camera died from taking sooo many picture of the sunset so I dont have any pictures from today :( We went to High Line, Chelsea Market and hung out with Ava and her crazy friend :)

Scary!!

This is what we found in the mail today! Some guy robbed someone on our block this past weekend. He dressed up as a UPS guy and when the person opened the door he tied them up to a chair and robbed their house! I wont be answering the door anytime soon!

Sister Kristen visits the Big Apple!

I had my first visitor this past weekend!! Unfortunately, I did a terrible job of taking pictures of Kristen's visit. We had a jam packed weekend. We went to the school Halloween parade and party, walked through Chelsea Market and High Line, did some shopping, got our nails done, ate some yummy Greek food, went to Cafe Lalo for dessert (the cafe in "You've Got Mail"), went to a yoga class (which kicked our butt!), walked to Magnolia Bakery (but was too crowded to go inside), watched the GA/Fl game at the bar (where Kristen ran into a bunch of people she knew from UGA), attempted to watch the Halloween Parade, went to a Halloween Party, went to brunch, and walked around Washington Square Park.

Here are some Micheal Jackson performers. I thought we would see a ton of MJ costumes for Halloween, but instead we saw a lot of swine flu costumes!

This is us dressed in our Halloween costume. Can you guess what we are?!? (HINT: Our shirts have a P on them)
This is where we ate brunch! It was soooo good. Kristen is wearing the outfit she bought while shopping up here :)Showing off our nails. (Trying to be artistic with the pic)

Arrojo Salon

On Thursday, I went to the Arrojo Salon. This is Nick Arrojo's (the hair stylist from What Not To Wear) Salon! It costs $500 to get a haircut by him! I was a hair model for a girl that is being trained here, so I got a free blow dry!

Another weekend in CT

My time in Connecticut is usually spent in the playroom watching Preston do handstands. She insists that I watch EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. I often want to scream "All your handstands look the same!!!" but then I remember that she is only a kid and I'm sure I did this when I was her age.
Preston doing a handstand....
and another one...
and another one! (the room on the right is my bedroom :) )

Instead of having a coffee table in the playroom, Leslie had two giant sofa cushions made (the pink, brown and white cushions Preston does her handstands on) This was probably the best idea ever because that is all the girls want to play with! While Preston hogged the cushions, Ava pretended to be a caterpillar and rolled around in her sleeping bag.

Today when I picked Ava up from school she noticed that I was wearing my rain boots, and she got all excited because she had the same ones in her bag. She ripped opened her bag and put on her boots so that we could be twins. Then she took about fifty pictures of our matching boots.
